Kearney Teen Injured and Charged in Saturday Crash

A Kearney teen was injured and charged in an early Saturday accident in Johnson County.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Business 13, at Hawthorne Boulevard, when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Tylan M. Boissoneau was heading southbound.

Troopers say Boissoneau ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a curb, crossed the road, struck another curb, crossed the road again, struck a third curb, and overturned.

He was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Troopers say Boissoneau was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the accident, authorities arrested Boissoneau on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.

He was released for treatment.
