Kenneth Wykert Set For October Hearing on Drug Pair

A Maysville man facing murder charges is set for an October motion hearing on a pair of drug charges.

Court documents say Kenneth L. Wykert faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Records list those two charges from June 12, 2019.

Wykert also stands accused of the murder and abandonment of a corpse of 23-year-old Leah Dawson of Maysville who went missing on June 5th.

Her remains were later found on June 26th.

A motion hearing is set for October 23 at 9:00 a.m. on the two drug charges.

Wykert is due in Nodaway County Court July 13 on the murder and abandonment charges.
