King City Council Approves Refinancing Plan For Water And Sewer Upgrades

King City’s Board of Aldermen approved their refinancing plans for bonds to be issued by the city that will finance the water and sewer system improvements planned by the city. The action came at a meeting on Monday night. The refinancing plan will be made through DA Davison for just over 1.11 million dollars. The action is being taken to take advantage of lower interest rates.

Council members also approved a census contract with Specter Manager that is necessary for their automated meter reading system. That automated reading system is one of the improvements planned for the water system. A microbial treatment option has been selected for the sewer system upgrade.

King City’s council also agreed to contribute $4,000 toward batting cages for the city park’s sports complex. That contribution is with the condition that all the money for the completion of the upgrades for the complex is raised.

Vance Brothers had the lowest price for oil planned for the city’s street work.
