Lawson Student Places 2nd for Her Original Composition at COMP Competition

LAWSON, MO – Lawson Middle School student Madelyn Hazlett was awarded 2nd place in the Middle School Pop music category in the 2022 Creating Original Music Project (C.O.M.P) competition sponsored by the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Hazlett, who is a 7th grader at Lawson, won 2nd place for her song “Anything, Everything.” Madelyn was awarded a cash prize along with Lawson Middle School for sponsoring her entry. She also attended the COMP Festival at Mizzou on Saturday where her song was performed as part of the showcase.
