Leon to Appointment Mayor at Next Council Meeting

The City of Leon will appointment a Mayor to serve the remainder Jason Weir’s term after he resigned on January 12th.
The City Council intends to fill the vacancy by appointment during their next regular meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, February 14th. Electors may file a petition to require a special election by filing a valid petition.
Eligible electors of the City of Leon wanting to be considered for appointment should submit a written request with the city clerk’s office by 4 pm on Monday, February 14th.
