Lexington Woman Charged After Passenger Falls Out of Vehicle in Monday Crash

One Lexington woman was injured, and another faces a charge, after an accident Monday night in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Elm Park Road, a mile north of Coyote Lane, when a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Kimberly A. Markley was heading southbound.

Troopers say a passenger, 28-year-old Hilary B. Mason, was seated on the top of the vehicle’s roll bar, lost her balance, and fell out of the vehicle.

Mason was taken by Life Flight Eagle to Research Hospital for treatment.

Troopers say Markley was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Mason was not.

Following the crash, troopers arrested Markley on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated.

Markley was later released.
