Liberty Teen Killed in Clay County Crash Monday Afternoon

A Liberty teen was killed in a Clay County crash Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on 112th Street, just east of Route A, when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Kansas City resident Jacob A. Davidson was heading eastbound.
Troopers say Davidson’s vehicle crested a hill, went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, began skidding, ran off the left side of the road, overturned, and struck a tree.
A passenger in the vehicle, 17-year-old Benjamin C. Mundy, was pronounced dead at Liberty Hospital later in the afternoon.
No injuries were listed for Davidson.
