Ludacris And Dax Announced For Missouri State Fair Entertainment

The Missouri State Fair will again feature a night of hip-hop on the Grandstand presented by CFM Insurance. Ludacris will headline the Friday, August 16th concert, with opening act Dax. The Champaign, Illinois-born rapper moved to Atlanta as a teenager and broke onto the scene in 2000 with “What’s Your Fantasy” and “Southern Hospitality”. Ludacris was featured on Carrie Underwood’s 2018 single “The Champion”, earning one CMT Music Award out of three nominations. In his two decade career, six of Ludacris’ albums have gone platinum, and most recently he made a cameo during Usher’s halftime performance at Super Bowl LVIII (58).

Ludacris’ opener is Dax, a Canadian-born rapper who was a star basketball player at Sunrise Christian Academy and Newman University in Wichita. Early in 2020 he made his way onto the charts with “Dear God” and “Faster”, the latter a collaboration with Tech N9ne. His 2022 hit “Dear Alcohol” appeared on the Hot Country Songs chart, which he followed up last October with “To Be a Man”, featuring Darius Rucker.

Tickets for the August 16th concert with Ludacris and Dax will be 50 dollars for Grandstand seating and 60 dollars for track seating. They’ll go on sale along with all Grandstand events at this year’s Missouri State Fair the morning of May 21st through Etix.
