Mercer County Fire Crews Respond to Three Calls Over Easter Weekend

MERCER COUNTY, MO – Mercer County Fire Protection District crews were dispatched three times over the weekend. The first call on Saturday was an unreported controlled burn south of Princeton on Highway 65. The second call on Saturday was a timber fire on Clarence Place. Crews were on the scene for several hours extinguishing the fire which was mostly only reachable by foot.

On Sunday crews responded back to Clarence Place for a report of a controlled burn that was started but was not attended.

The Mercer County Fire Protection District asks that controlled burns be reported to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
