Mercer School Board Approves Messaging Software

Mercer School Board members approved the levy for the school district during their meeting held Monday.

Mercer’s levy will be $4.96 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation. The district’s valuation went up about $1.9 million dollars.

Mercer’s board also approved pursuing the use of Apptegy software that will allow Mercer School District news to be sent to the district website and as a mobile app to the phones of patrons of the district. Mercer hopes to have the software available this fall.

Mercer’s board set their adult lunch prices at $3.05. That is the same as last year. A salad bar option will be $2.25.

Mercer’s district also approved a junior high softball cooperative with East Harrison. Mercer will not be responsible for any transportation services.

Mercer’s board approved Lisa Pritchard as a part-time librarian, Nancy Claycomb for a part-time music position, and Sheila Ash for a cook position.
