Mercer School District Seeks Interest In Vacant Board Position

The Mercer School Board is seeking those interested in serving a vacant school board position. During a meeting Monday night, Mercer’s board accepted the resignation of Ben Stark who has moved out of the district. Those interested in filling the vacancy until April of 2023 can send a letter of interest to the Superintendent’s Office or email Jennifer Wilson at [email protected]. The letters of interest are being accepted until 3:30pm on Monday, October 17th.

Mercer’s board approved a service agreement from EdCounsel Guide Service to write policies and handbooks. The Graduation date for Mercer has been set for Sunday, May 14th at 2pm. Bus routes were approved for the 2022-23 school year.

Mercer Board President Ervin Taff provided an update on the school’s search for a superintendent. To this point, two applications have been received from the Missouri Association of Rural Educators.

No snow removal bids have been received to this point by the Mercer School District.
