Mo DED Requests Feedback On Proposed Cell Towers Grant Program

The Missouri Department of Economic Development is requesting public feedback on a proposed Cell Towers Grant program.

The program is funded through the State of Missouri’s share of American Rescue Plan Act funding. The state has $20 million to help improve accessibility for those without access to qualify cellular service. Funds are available for projects that will serve areas lacking quality service, with priority given to projects located on public lands.

The survey will be used to help the Missouri Department of Economic Development creating guidelines for the program. Those guidelines would include minimum and maximum awards, eligibility, and funding priorities.

The Public Input Survey will remain open to input until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7th. If you are unable to submit comments online, you may submit comments by contacting DED at 573-751-4962. There is a link to the survey here.

Complete information is available on DED’s ARPA Broadband webpage.
