NCMC Foundation Names Distinguished Alumni Class

The 2023 Distinguished Alumni Class for the North Central Missouri College Foundation has been named. All four recipients are native Trenton Hometown Heroes, graduating from Trenton High School and attending North Central Missouri College, formerly Trenton Junior College.

Joyce Cutsinger graduated with her PN degree at NCMC in 1980 and then RN degree in 1982. She began a 23-year career at NCMC in 1989, serving as an instructor and later as the Allied Health Coordinator until her retirement in 2012. During her tenure at NCMC, she received the Governor’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2002 and 2008. She continues to attend and support NCMC Athletics.

Mitch Dougan graduated from NCMC in 1982 and began a career with Americo Insurance Company. He has been part of a growth of Americo which has gone from 40 associates to over 500. He is also a member of the NCMC Holiday Hoops Committee and an officer for NCMC Athletics Booster Club.

Pam Johnston graduated from NCMC and then Truman State University. She taught in the Trenton School District and then took a position with the NCMC Teaching Reading and Writing Program.

Anthony (Tony) Ralston served in the military and served one year in the Vietnam War. He has served as firefighter and earned several certifications. He also started a program for young firefighters.

A reception to honor the distinguished alum class of 2023 will begin at 5:30 p.m. on March 23rd in the Jeanette Hoffman Robison Auditorium. The rest of the evening will include a plated meal by Great Western Dining at 6:00 pm, a reverse raffle, program featuring our four distinguished alumni and the vocal talents of Ben & Lauren Johnson. Individual event tickets are $50 per person.
