New Missouri Director Of Health And Senior Services Announced

Missouri’s next Director of the Department of Health and Senior services feels his background in emergency management will serve in well in his new position.

Donald Kauerauf was announced at the next selection of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. He has served as the Assistant Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, a Deputy to the Illinois Governor’s Homeland Security Advisor, and Policy Advisor to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Director. He says he wants to visit local health departments and businesses.

During his time with the Illinois Department of Public Health, he developed a statewide structure to improve communication between the Department and local public health agencies and directed the development and implementation of the nation’s first statewide pandemic influenza exercise. He will officially begin as the Missouri Department of Health And Senior Services Director on September 1st.
