North Carolina Man Loses Life in Lafayette Crash

A man from North Carolina lost his life in a single-vehicle crash in Lafayette County.

A report from the Missouri Highway Patrol details the incident which occurred at 11 am Tuesday.

The report says that 59-year-old Leroy Jenkins of Stanley, NC was driving westbound in I-70 when his vehicle left the roadway and down an embankment. The vehicle crossed the outer road and struck an electrical pole.

Jenkins was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by Sni Valley and was pronounced dead by a Lafayette County Coroner at noon.
