Oregon Man Injured in Holt County Crash Monday

An Oregon, Missouri man was injured in a Holt County accident Monday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Route P, nearly two miles north of Fortescue, when a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Thomas L. Williams was heading northbound.

Troopers say Williams attempted to pass another vehicle, changed lanes before completely passing the other vehicle, went off the east side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned.

Williams was taken to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of minor injuries.

Troopers say it is unknown if Williams was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
