Pesticide Applicator Training Sessions Planned By University Of Missouri Extension

Several sessions are available for Missouri farmers needing to obtain or renew their private pesticide applicator license. One session scheduled for the afternoon of May 25th will be taught by Valerie Tate, agronomy specialist at University of Missouri Extension’s office in Linneus.

 

Tate stresses that the sessions are geared for farmers needing to apply restricted-use pesticides on their own farmland.

 

MU Extension agronomy specialist Valerie Tate adds that farmers needing certification to apply dicamba or paraquat chloride will need to attend additional training as required by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

The private pesticide applicator training session led by Tate will take place May 25th from 1 to 3 via Zoom. More details and a registration form are available on Extension’s websiteAdditional sessions taught by other Extension specialists around the state are available on different dates and times.
