Resurfacing Project Beginning Next Week in St. Joseph

A resurfacing project is set to begin next week in Saint Joseph.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says crews plan to complete the resurfacing of Route 6 from just west of Route AC (Riverside Road) to Route 31.

Crews will begin with pavement repair on Monday, March 16.

MO-DOT says this portion of the project will run through April 2.

The paving portion of the project is scheduled for April 14.

Route 6 will be narrowed to one lane around the paving operations with a pilot car leading drivers around the work zone.

During daylight hours Monday through Saturday, crews will be on-site and active in the work zone.

Some work may be done on Sundays, if necessary.

MO-DOT says crews plan to be complete with all work by the end of May.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
