Rosendale Resident Injured & Charged in Wednesday Crash

A Rosendale resident suffered injuries and faces charges in a late Wednesday accident in Gentry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 9:18 Wednesday night on U.S. 136, two miles north of Stanberry, as 35-year-old Leslie W. Potts drove eastbound.

Troopers say Potts failed to negotiate a curve, went off the north side of the road, struck a ditch, and came to a rest in a ditch.

Potts suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic of Albany.

Authorities say Potts did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the accident, troopers arrested Potts on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
