Scrub Seal Projects Coming to Andrew and Buchanan Counties

Two scrub seal projects are scheduled to begin next week led by contractors from Vance Brothers, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, in Andrew and Buchanan Counties.

A scrub seal is a preventative maintenance treatment which rejuvenates the road surface and helps extend the life of the roadway by filling and sealing cracks in the existing asphalt with an emulsified asphalt or aggregate seal.

Crews are scheduled to begin on Route T in Andrew County on Monday, May 18.

They plan to work during daylight hours daily through Wednesday, May 20.

They will then seal Route O in Buchanan County on May 21.

The work on Route O should only take one day to complete.

These are part of a larger project to seal roads across 13 counties in Northwest Missouri.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
