Senator Josh Hawley Speaks On Bill to Ban President and Vice President from Trading Stocks

(MISSOURINET – WASHINGTON D.C.) – Missouri U-S Senator Josh Hawley is promoting his bill that would ban the president, vice president, senior executive branch officials, and their spouses from playing the stock market. He told Missourinet that bureaucrats should not be able to own or trade stocks in companies they’re supposed to be regulating:

Hawley is also sponsoring a similar bill that would ban members of Congress from owning and trading stocks. That one is named Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments, or the PELOSI Act, after former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
