Shooting of Juvenile in Clinton County Determined to be Self-Inflicted

CLINTON COUNTY, MO Clinton County Sheriff Larry Fish issued a press release yesterday regarding a shooting on Wednesday.
Fish says that around 11:47 a.m. the Clinton County Communications Center was advised by Holt Fire of a juvenile that walked into their department with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Information was limited on where the shooting took place until the juvenile woke up from surgery several hours later. Detectives were able to determine through questioning and electronic evidence that the shooting was self-inflicted and there was no danger to the community.
The ATF assisted the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department in the investigation.
