Smithville Man Injured in Clay County Crash Saturday

A Smithville man was injured in a Clay County crash late Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on 169, north of 136th Street, when a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Kansas City resident Jasmine N. Williams was heading northbound.

Troopers say Williams blocked the left lane after facing westbound and was struck by another northbound vehicle being driven by 27-year-old Jack H. Lankford.

Lankford suffered serious injuries and was taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.

No injury information was listed for Williams.

Troopers say all involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
