South Harrison Board Approves Enhancement Grant Application

South Harrison School Board members approved the 2024 Student Advisor to the Board and the application for an enhancement grant for the North Central Career Center during a meeting held Monday night.

South Harrison’s board approved the recommendation of Lauren Spurling to the board. She will serve through the first semester of the 2024-25 school year.

The board also approved the application for an enhancement grant to obtain a two-post lift for the North Central Career Center’s Auto Collision Program. The previous lift went into surplus. The board is also seeking a grant for a heavy duty two-post lift and spray cabinet for the Auto Technology Program. The current lift would be declared as storage. The grant applications will be submitted by the end of the month. The potential approval of the funding would come from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in June. If approved, the equipment could be installed in August or September.

South Harrison’s board also approved their ADA Accessibility Program at the session.
