South Harrison Receives New Website Demonstration At March Session

South Harrison School Board members received an update and a brief demonstration of the layout of their new website that will become active during their meeting on Monday night. The school’s website address will remain the same, but the actual website is intended to be more user friendly with fewer clicks necessary to navigate the website. The home page will also include footage from a video drone that will provide footage of each building on the South Harrison school’s campus. The site will also include news articles and live feeds that will be controlled by the district’s administrators. That information will also be available on the school’s other social media platforms.

South Harrison Superintendent Dennis Eastin provided an update on the ESSER II funding for the district. The funding will be used to purchase an air filtration system for the welding shop. That system has now been ordered. Elementary flooring replacement work is being financed with the funding will be done in two sections. Heating and cooling units will be installed in the summer of 2003.

The parking lot upgrades planned by the district are nearing the time for the district to request bids following engineering work.

The school board declared a van as surplus property. A bid was approved for copiers.

South Harrison’s board kept the tuition for the North Central Career Center that same at $2,700 for the upcoming year.
