St Joseph Couple Involved in the January 6th Insurrection Granted Freedom from Federal Custody

WASHINGTON, DC – Following the events of January 6th, 2021, at the United States Capitol, two St Joseph residents were charged with four misdemeanors that all relate to unlawful entry and other activities from the insurrection.

They are being granted freedom from federal custody as long as they make all future court dates.

After voluntarily surrendering to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri on June 20th, Kimberly R. Dragoo and her husband Steven M. Dragoo waited for a hearing on June 22nd before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington where they appeared remotely.

Following the hearing, Magistrate Judge G. Michael Harvey ordered that the couple are to appear remotely with their representation Bruce Castor Jr. on August 22nd, at 1 P.M. for a preliminary status hearing.

No trial date has been set, and the Dragoos have stated prior that they believe their entry was lawful with well-intentions.
