St. Joseph School Board Approves Teacher Raises

Teachers in the St. Joseph School district will make a minimum of $40,000 a year going forward after a Board of Education vote to invest almost $5 million toward salaries for the upcoming school year.

In addition to the higher pay floor, teachers across the board can expect raises.

Experienced teachers with bachelor’s degrees can expect to make almost $55,000 a year. Those with doctorates could make more than $80,000.

The board voted unanimously in favor of the raise but may have to prepare to make changes to account for the resulting deficit.
