St. Joseph Woman Injured and Charged in Sunday Crash

A Saint Joseph woman was injured and charged in a Buchanan County accident early Sunday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on U.S. 169, a half mile north of Saint Joseph, when a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Lindsey M. Lynch was heading southbound.

Troopers say Lynch failed to go around a curve in the road, traveled off the east side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned.

Lynch was taken to Mosaic Life Care, in Saint Joseph, for treatment of minor injuries.

Troopers say Lynch was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the crash, troopers arrested Lynch on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
