St. Louis Man Injured & Arrested in Buchanan County Crash

A Saint Louis man was injured and arrested in a Buchanan County crash Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Highway 6, two miles east of Saint Joseph, when a vehicle driven by 31-year-old Marlon P. Brooks was heading eastbound.

Troopers say Brooks struck the rear of another eastbound vehicle, traveled off the north side of the road, and came to a rest in a field.

Brooks suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph for treatment.

Troopers say it is unknown if Brooks was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

An online traffic crash report says Brooks was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Buchanan County authorities.
