GENTRY COUNTY, MO – A Stanberry man is facing several felony counts after Gentry County authorities say he was involved in a domestic altercation last weekend.

In a Gentry County Sheriff’s Office statement, 26-year-old James Dean Whitt is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and prohibiting her from leaving his residence.  The investigating officer says the victim suffered head, face, and neck injuries from the assault.  

Whitt is charged with two counts of domestic assault and two counts of kidnapping.  A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
