State Releases January 2022 General Revenue Report

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Missouri’s net general revenue collections for January dropped over 13 percent compared to January 2021, however the fiscal year-to-date collections increased almost 2 percent.

State Budget Director Dan Haug announced January collections were $882 million this year, compared to over one billion last January.

Individual income tax collections decreased 3 percent for the year, but increased 5 percent for the month.

Sales and use tax collections increased 16 percent for the year, however the monthly decrease was 97 percent.

Refunds also decreased, 3 percent for the year and 50 percent for the month.
