Staying cool for the Missouri summer

(MISSOURINET) – As summer weather arrives, Missourians are reminded to not walk in the sunshine, but to take precautions when outdoors. Jayson Gosselin, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, warns you not to wear dark-colored clothing outside.

Be sure to drink plenty of water and limit your intake of alcoholic beverages. Additionally, if the weather calls for heat and humidity, limit your outdoor exposure, especially if you are elderly, have pre-existing health conditions, or are a child.
