Three Injured in Accident Near Rochester, Driver Arrested for DWI
ROCHESTER, MO – A one vehicle accident in Andrew County injured three people Saturday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash took place just after 6:30 on Route E, 1 mile west of Rochester as 60-year old David Lane of Oregon was northbound. Lane traveled off the roadway and into a ditch before striking a utility pole and continuing down the embankment into a creek.
The vehicle came to rest upright in the creek.
Forty-one year old Damian Gillenwater of Oregon was seriously injured. A 12-year old male and a 13-year old female both received minor injuries.. All three were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
Lane was taken into custody for felony driving while intoxicated, causing serious physical injury and careless and imprudent driving.
