Trenton Park Board Approves Pay Increase for Summer Help

The Trenton Park board approved a pay raise for summer help.

Summer employees mow and maintain Trenton parks.

They made $10.50 per hour last year. This time around they’ll make $12.

That’s still below the state minimum wage of $12.30 an hour, but the city doesn’t have to meet that benchmark, according to park board president Curtis Crawford.

The board had room for the pay increase thanks to $22,000 set aside for part-time wages.
