Two Injured in Dekalb County Accident Monday Afternoon
(MAYSVILLE, MO) – Two were injured in a Dekalb County Accident Monday shortly after 2:15 P.M.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the crash occured as a Kia Rio driven by 54-year-old Mohammad A. Mohammad of Lees Summit and a Ford Fusion driven by 32-year-old Weatherby resident Victoria M. Hillebrand were travelling southbound on Missouri Highway 33 just north of Route O, four miles south of Maysville.
Hillebrand’s car made a right turn, as the Kia Rio struck the rear, causing the Ford Fusion to run off the west side of the roadway.
The Fusion came to rest facing North on its wheels and Mohammad’s car came to rest in the Northbound lane facing West on its wheels.
Both vehicles were totaled.
Hillebrand was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph and Mohammad was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
Both were treated for minor injuries.
