Two Injured in Johnson County Crash Monday Afternoon

Two suffered injuries in a head-on collision Monday afternoon in Johnson County, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 2:38 Monday afternoon on Highway 23, north of Northeast 500 Road, as 47-year-old Saint Joseph resident Zeshan Siddiqua drove southbound in the northbound lane.

Troopers say Siddiqua struck an oncoming northbound vehicle driven by 40-year-old Concordia resident Benjamin Richards.

Siddiqua and Richards both suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Western Missouri Medical Center.

Authorities say both wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
