Two Grants Pass, Oregon residents were injured in a Saturday afternoon crash in Grundy County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on U.S. 65, eight miles south of Trenton, when a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Dennis C. Hess was heading southbound.

Troopers say Hess struck a deer and came to a rest in the southbound lane.

He and a passenger, 73-year-old Rebecca F. Hess, both suffered minor injuries.

Troopers say both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
