Unionville Selected For $75,000 Rural Development Grant

Missouri U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Director Kyle Wilkens announced a $75,100 Community Facility Direct Grant to the City of Unionville.

The funding will be used to purchase two bucket trucks, a maintenance truck, and attachments.

This equipment will be used tree trimming for city streets, utility purposes, hauling material and debris, and many miscellaneous jobs essential to the citizens of Unionville. The city maintains its own streets, electricity, water, and sewer.

The Community Facilities Direct Loan and Grant Program provides financing and grants to public bodies, nonprofits, and other entities to improve schools, libraries, hospitals, fire stations, and other essential community facilities for people in rural areas.
