US Route 36 Resurfacing in Caldwell County to Begin Next Week

A resurfacing project on the eastbound lanes of U.S. Route 36 in Caldwell County is scheduled to begin next week. The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted with Magruder Paving, LLC to complete the project which extends from the DeKalb County line to Route 13 in Hamilton.

Crews plan to begin work Monday, March 7. U.S. Route 36 will remain open through the project, but one lane may be closed around the repair sites and paving operations. Some of these single-lane closures could remain up around-the-clock to allow the pavement to cure.

Workers will be present during daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Some work may occur on Saturdays, as necessary, to complete the project on schedule. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to continue through June.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
