What Survived, What Died in the Governor’s Missouri State Budget Decisions

(MISSOURINET)- Missouri’s new state budget year is here. Governor Mike Parson has vetoed more than 555-million dollars in the new 51-billion dollar state budget. The governor has also approved 3.6-billion dollars in state aid to schools, 160-million to bolster pre-kindergarten and child care programs, and 289-million for capital improvement projects at public higher education schools. Doug Hayter (HIGH-terr), with the Missouri Association of School Administrators, says the Legislature and governor continue to prioritize education.
