Worth County Board Updated On ECF Purchases

Worth County Superintendent Chris Healy told school board members that the Worth County School District has received funding to purchase 75 Chromebooks and cellular data for two iPads through the Emergency Connectivity Fund. Worth County held their October meeting on Thursday night. The superintendent reported that the funding will help the district remain in a one-on-one status with devices for all students.

The board approved an increase in the rate paid for activity trips for bus drivers. The increase is being done as an incentive to attract bus drivers which remain in shortage for many school districts.

The board approved a budget update that includes some money used towards tutoring textbooks and resources, and grants that have been awarded.

The Worth County School’s flooring project will be completed over the weekend. Two hallway logos will be completed with that work.

Worth County’s board received a report on new curriculum and approved reviews for the health and media services programs.
