Graceland Debuts In National NAIA Football Rankings, Monroe Named Heart Offensive POW

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Big Game Football Players of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Gerald Monroe of Graceland University was selected the Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Johnathan Bailey of Missouri Valley College was the recipient of the Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Jordan Kempf of Peru State College garnered the Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

Monroe and the Yellowjackets earned an impressive victory last Saturday with a 37-35 win over No. 7 nationally ranked Benedictine College.

The sophomore had 10 catches for 197 yards and four touchdowns in the victory, averaging 19.7 yards per catch.
