Looney Selected As Next North Alabama Athletics Director

Missouri Western’s current athletics director has been hired by the University of Northern Alabama. Dr. Josh Looney was announced as the new University of North Alabama Athletics Director beginning September 1st. Looney has spent the last 4 years at Missouri Western State University. He will become Athletics Director at the University of North Alabama while they are completing a move toward full NCAA Division I status.
North Alabama says a national search was conducted in early June after the resignation of North Alabama’s previous athletics director in late May.
UNA is an NCAA Division I institution that competes in 13 sports as a member of the ASUN Conference and in FCS football as a member of the Big South Conference.
