NWMSU Tennis Coach Reaches 1200 Wins

A win over rival Missouri Western Wednesday gave Northwest Missouri State tennis coach mark Rosewell a historic 1,200th victory at Northwest.

Rosewell’s number 10 ranked Northwest women earned a four matches to three victory over number 32 ranked Missouri Western Wednesday to give Rosewell the historic victory.

Rosewell has amassed a record of 614-296 in women’s tennis and 586-274 in men’s tennis at Northwest. Rosewell’s overall coaching record sits at 1,222-597 when adding his two seasons at Central Missouri to his 39 years at Northwest.

With Wednesday’s victory the Bearcat women improved to 17-3 overall, with a perfect MIAA dual mark of 8-0. Rosewell has led the Northwest tennis teams to a combined 28 MIAA regular season championships, with 15 for the men and 13 on the women’s side.

The Northwest women have won 11 consecutive dual matches this spring, tied for the fourth-longest streak in program history.
