Princeton Board Approves 8-Man Football Move With 6-1 Vote
With a 6-1 vote, Princeton’s Board of Education approved a move to 8-Man Football. The vote came on Monday evening following a presentation from Athletic Director Scott Ussery on Princeton’s current conference affiliation. The district is still considering an application to participate in the West Division of the Grand River Conference. The presentation before the board included a desire for Princeton athletics to compete against similar-sized schools for a conference schedule. The administration does plan to now approach the Grand River Conference about applying for a change of divisions for Princeton.
Board members received word that the district has been chosen for a Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Grant for Food and Nutritional Services. The grant will total $11,000 and would supply a new salad bar/cold table. The cold table would be used to keep salad bar items, perishable ingredients, and pudding desserts at a serving temperatures.
The board tabled an audit report until December.
The Princeton board accepted a resignation from Food Service Cashier Terry Wilson.
