Allen Hutchinson

Allen Hutchinson, 67, Pattonsburg, MO passed away Monday, November 2, 2020 at his home in Pattonsburg, MO.

He was born on July 20, 1953 in Cameron, Missouri the son of Gilbert L. and Ruth (Bruner) Hutchinson.

He was graduated from Pattonsburg High School and then went on to graduate from Northwest Missouri State University. He worked in the newspaper industry including St. Joseph Newspress, Lees Summit Journal, Atchison County Globe, Warrenton Newspaper, and the Pattonsburg Call.

Allen taught Industrial Arts for several years at Hannibal, Missouri returning to Pattonsburg where he was a member of the United Methodist Church that he grew up in. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and had become an avid antique collector of lamps.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Allen is survived by his sister, Linda (Alan) Goodwin, Platte City, MO; niece, Kynda Goodwin-Smith (Casey), Kansas City, MO; nephew, Shane (Mia) Goodwin; two great nephews and 4 great nieces.

Allen has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO.

Memorial Graveside Services and Inurnment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, November 9 in Civil Bend Methodist Cemetery, Pattonsburg, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, MO where social distancing will be observed and masks are recommended.
