Kidder, Missouri- Erna Marie Anderson, fondly known as “Oma” 84, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born January 22, 1939 in Bonn, Germany to Felix and Margareta (Ringle) Bock.

Erna married Robert Anderson on December 16, 1956 in Unionville, Missouri after meeting  Robert while he was in the Army and stationed in Germany. Their love story is one for the books. Erna worked as a receptionist and for the Kidder school though her passion in life was caring for others. She babysat generations of children. Erna was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Margarete Johnson.

Survivors: husband, Robert Anderson, of the home; 3 sons, Andrew (Penny) Anderson of Columbia, Missouri, Randall (Cynthia) Anderson of Cameron, Missouri, Mark Anderson of Kidder, Missouri, and bonus son, Alan Wilson, of Arizona. 4 grandchildren, Emily Anderson, Emily Bailey, Kaylah (Joseph) Hawkins, and Chandra Anderson; 6 great-grandchildren,

Hailey, Clayton, Olivia, Aidan, Alycia, and Harper; and niece and nephew, Sylvia and Dale, of Colorado.

A Celebration Of Life will be held October 20, 2023 at the Kidder Methodist Church. Family will start greeting friends at 2:00pm with service to begin at 3:00pm, dessert and coffee will be served following. Service will be casual. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidder Park Board at 347 front st. Kidder, Mo 64649.
