80 year old Jackie Lee Robinson of Princeton passed away Monday at his home.

The son of Charles Bernard and Esther Marie (Snyder) Robinson, was born in Mercer County, Missouri on June 25, 1939. Jack was united in marriage to Helen Marie McReynolds on June 25, 1963 in Princeton, MO. Helen survives of their home.

Growing up in Mercer County, Missouri, Jack was a 1958 graduate of Ravanna Schools and attended Trenton Junior College. In 1968 he entered the U.S. Army Reserves and served for 6 years. Jack began working at the Petrolane and Natural Gas Companies, the Briggs Ranche and retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation after 24 years.

Jack was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing, loved antique tractors, spending time with family, watching his grandchildren in sporting events and helping his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Doris Robinson and son, Aaron Lee Robinson.

Jack is also survived by his two daughters, Annette Blakesley and husband, Dirk of August, KS, Crystal Manning and husband, Jeff of Kansas City, MO; sister, Catherine Goepferich of Kearney, MO; brother, Stan Robinson of Chicago, IL; grandson, Trace Blakesley and granddaughter, Delaney Blakesley both of Augusta, KS along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 28 at the New Hope Baptist Church, Princeton, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
