James Edmond Wilson

James Edmond Wilson, 93, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry.

Jim, also known as Mr. Wilson, was born October 16, 1928, the second of nine children born to Russell “Mutt” and Mary Emily (Williams) Wilson.

Jim served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955.

He had many jobs throughout his life: milkman, paperman, rock quarry, Bunch and Sons Sawmill, farmed for Judge Harold Davis and caretaker of Eastridge. He was well known for the number of important things he carried in his overalls which at one time reportedly weighed thirty-eight pounds.

On January 29, 1960, he married Julia Blair at Willow Row. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Johnny, Charles Fielding, Arch Ross and Bill, sisters Pat Snead and Betty Payne and a great-granddaughter Kaia Wiederholt.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Melissa (Ronnie) Anthony, Albany; George (Gaylyn) Wilson, Bonney Lake, WA; Diana Wilson (John) and Kimberly (Ronnie) Shanks, Stanberry; grandchildren, Jamie Gabriel, Chris (Kahlea) Anthony, Trey (Kayte) Anthony, Jocelyn Anthony, Wren (Colt) Warren, all of Albany, Blair Sperry (Warren), Kansas City, Tana (Tommy) Wiederholt, Stanberry and Bobby (Christine) Brown, Colorado; great grandchildren, Channing Gabriel, Kaylynn Warren, Camden and Tesla Anthony, Aelyn, Cade, and Ari Wiederholt; brothers, DeWayne (Jane) Wilson, Gravette, AR; Gene (Sharen) Wilson, Albany and several very special nephews and nieces.
