John Rollie Kempf, 77, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home.

John was born on November 26, 1945 in Burlington Junction, Missouri to Rollie R. and Lois G. (Moore) Kempf. He attended Maryville High School and was drafted in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. During his time in Vietnam he was injured and received a Purple Heart. He retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad and years earlier he served as Town Marshall and was a volunteer fireman in Hopkins, Missouri. He was a member of American Legion Post #100, Masonic Lodge #470, Eagles Lodge Bearcat #3669 and Moila Shrine Temple.

He married Betty Ann Myers on August 20, 2005. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2018. He was also preceded by his parents and brother, Bobby Kempf.

Survivors include three children, Nathan Kempf, Amber Hamner and Hollie Manous; brother, Clarence Richard (Thelma) Kempf; two sisters, Genevee Houston and Lois Juanita Kempf; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three step-daughters and their families.

Services 2:00pm Thursday, October 26th at Price Funeral Home. Burial Nodaway Memorial Gardens, Maryville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home where a Masonic Service will be held at 6:00pm. The family suggests memorials to Shriners Hospital for Children.
